Reconditioned engines are generally sold on an exchange basis.
 
The reconditioned exchange engines have become very popular for customers with older Bukh engines which are in need of replacement. Reconditioned engines are completely rebuilt to the latest specifications and as such, come standard with the same two year warranty as with all of the new Bukh engines.
 
Often, when an engine becomes too old to repair, a customer considers another brand of engine, which is usually inferior in quality and reliability when compared to a Bukh engine. Aside from the name and reliability of the Bukh engine, brand changes require modifications to engine beds, propellers (due to different reduction), exhaust (due to exiting from the other side of the engine) and new refrigeration brackets. These modifications can blow out fitment costs significantly.
 
Reconditioned engines come complete except for the gearbox and electrics (starter motor, alternator and wiring). These items are easily removed from your old engine and refitted to the new one (serviced at extra cost if required).

The engines are sent in a factory crate and your old engine is to be returned to us in the same crate. Freight to and from is additional - please contact us with your location for freight fees. Pickup from our Sydney premises is always available. Our service technicians can remove your old engine and install the new one. Contact us for a refit quote.
